Lyons, William W.

William W. Lyons became Deputy Under Secretary for the U.S. Department of the Interior in May 1973. His duties were to carry out policy set by the Secretary or Under Secretary. Prior to that assignment, he worked in the Department of the Interior as the Special Assistant to the Secretary from 1970 to 1971 and as Deputy Assistant Secretary, Program Policy from 1971 to 1973.
