Developing Countries Farm Radio Network (University of Guelph)
Established in 1979 by Dr. George Atkins, when he retired from the CBC after 25 years of service, DCFRN was designed to gather information throughout the developing world that would be helpful to small scale farmers and to distribute it through a network of local rural broadcasters. Originally sponsored by Massey-Ferguson Limited, the organization now receives funding from CIDA and the University of Guelph.
