Awarded Medal of Honor for services as judge advocate during Spanish American War, active in N.D. National Guard (1905-1908), Fargo city attorney (1892-1894, 1902-1904), U.S. district attorney (1914-1923), practiced law in Fargo until 1943. Died January 13, 1944.
