Miller, Allen, 1906-
In 1953 Allen Miller was elected, in a special election, to the California State Assembly, representing the Forty-first district in the San Fernando Valley. He had earlier been appointed, in 1939 during the Olson administration, State Registrar of Contractors. He served in the Assembly until 1959, chairing the Rules Committee. In 1959 Miller was appointed by Gov. Edmund G. Brown, Sr. to the Superior Court bench in Los Angeles County. He retired from the bench and politics in 1973.
