Lynn Burton was born in Bend, Or. on May 15, 1926, and attended high school in Manitou Springs, Colo. Enlisted in the U.S. Army in early 1944. Volunteered for 10th Mountain Division. Trained at Camp Swift in Texas. Served in the 87th Infantry Regiment, Company L. Saw enemy action and was wounded in the northern Apennines near Locuri Scoula and received Purple Heart. Active member of the National Association of the 10th Mountain Division. Attended many reunions. Died on April 15, 2001.
