Dynes, Harry B. (Harry Blaine), 1884-1968
Variant namesDynes was an executive with the Equitable Life Assurance Society of America, Indianapolis; Republican member, Indiana House of Representatives (1917); secretary, Indiana Selective Service Association (1921); and conciliator for the U.S. Labor Department in the 1920's and 1930's. Also included are papers of K.C. Adams (d. 1956), who served as an official with the United Mine Workers of America until 1948, including service as publicity director for the UMW, based in Indianapolis (1913-1918), and editor of the United Mine Workers Journal until 1948.
