The Green Mill Dance Project was founded in 1992 as an annual national dance forum. Based in Melbourne, the project was involved in the co-ordination of annual festivals of dance from 1993 to 1997. The project ceased operations in Mar. 1998 after the Victorian Government withdrew its funding. During the years of its operation, the Green Mill Dance Project festivals gained national and international significance.
