Hide Profile

The original Lady Gowrie Child Care Centre in Perth, located in Victoria Park, was one of six such centres established throughout Australia by the Commonwealth Government in 1939 to research the needs of children aged two to five, and to demonstrate methods for their education and welfare. In 1980 a re-designed centre was officially opened within the State Housing estate of Karawara. Its expended operations included day care and a range of support service.
