Kerwin, Larkin.
Physicist (atomic and molecular physics). Born 1924. Completed doctorate in physics at Université Laval in 1949 under Franco Rasetti, Paul Koenig, and Enrico Persico. Full professor at Laval from 1956; also successively director of the Research Laboratory on Mass Spectrometry, director of the Dept. of Physics, director of the Van de Graaff Accelerator, assistant dean of the Faculty of Sciences, assistant rector for Teaching and Research, and, from 1972 to 1977, rector of the University. Held presidency or other executive positions in numerous organizations including the Canadian Association of Physicists, the National Research Council of Canada, the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics, and the Canadian Space Agency.
