B.J. Craig served as corporate secretary for almost 25 years. He was born on August 7, 1885 in Detroit, Michigan. On September 3, 1907 he joined Ford Motor Company as a bookkeeper in the Piquette Avenue plant in Detroit. He was promoted to assistant auditor and then appointed assistant secretary on May 9, 1918. On December 31, 1918, he was named corporate secretary to succeed Edsel Ford. On July 14, 1919, he was also named assistant treasurer. He held both of these positions concurrently until his promotion to vice-president and treasurer in 1943.
