McHarg, D. P.
D. P. McHarg moved to Murphys, California from Rome, New York in 1852. While in Murphys, he worked in a general store. McHarg later moved to Vallecito and San Francisco, and was working for the Adams Express Company when it failed in 1855. He moved back to Rome, New York in the late 1860s and became the owner of the Arlington Hotel.
