Moreland, Jackie, 1943-
Jackie Moreland grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and attended Southern Methodist College in 1962. He withdrew after being injured in football and entered the Marine Corps. He went to intelligence school for training in information gathering, cartography, and linguistics. He prepared and interpreted strategic maps of Southeast Asia as part of a Marine intelligence office.
