Francis Jackson was a Boston abolitionist, author, and civic leader who served as President of the Anti-Slavery Society. In 1848, his daughter, Harriette M. Jackson, married Philadelphia Quaker Charles Palmer, who was the grandson of prominent Quaker minister, Isaac T. Hopper.
