McDonald, Charles, b. 1745.
Charles McDonald emigrated from Scotland to South Carolina about 1761. About 1794 McDonald took his family to Georgia and settled in Hancock County. Charles McDonald was the father of Charles James McDonald (1793-1860), who became the governor of Georgia.
