Sammamish Hills Lutheran Church (Sammamish, Wash.)
This congregation was started as a home-mission church after much research into the potential of this area where the population was increasing rapidly. Rev. Norman L. Orth was called by the national church and arrived on the field on July 1, 1978. The first worship was held at the Pine Lake Community Club on September 17, 1978, and the congregation met at the Lutheran Bible Institute from 1979 to November 1. 1980, when the present church was completed.
