Grace De Laguna received her AB from Cornell in 1903 and her Ph.D from the same instution in 1906. A philosopher, she joined the Bryn Mawr faculty in 1907 with her husband, Theodore de Laguna, later becoming the department chair. She is the mother of renowned anthropologist Federica de Laguna. GdL was a past president of the American Philosophical Association and the founder and one-time president of the Fullerton Club (a professional philosophical club). Retiring in 1946, she served as a professor emeritus until her death.
