Harriet Kofalk (1937-1996) was a writer, poet, and historical researcher who wrote poems, articles, papers and books about nature. She worked for RAND Corporation for several years as the Administrator of Publications and engaged in freelance writing and historical research on her own. In 1989 she published "No Woman Tenderfoot: Florence Merriam Bailey, Pioneer Naturalist," an account of the noted ornithologist and nature writer and her husband Vernon Bailey.
