Floyd, Frederick Gillan, 1869-1941.
Floyd was born in South Boston and after high school worked for his father's newspaper. He later became a surveyor. He was involved in the New England Botanical Club and the American Fern Society and dfeveloped a substantial herbarium and botanical library.
