Fuentes, Rafael, 1901-1971.
Rafael Fuentes was a Mexican diplomat, lawyer, and father of the writer Carlos Fuentes.
He served as first secretary of the foreign service delegation from Mexico to the U.S. in the period 1934 to 1939, as counselor to the U.S., Chile, and Argentina from 1940-1944, as ambassador of Mexico to Panama from 1953 to 1959, and ambassador to Italy from 1964 to 1966.
