Elizabeth Kittredge graduated from Vassar College (1912) and Columbia University (1915) before studying medicine at Johns Hopkins. She interned at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington D.C. in 1922. In the 1950s-1960s she worked in Planned Parenthood clinics.
