The Campus Planning Office grew out of the Office of Architects and Engineers and is presently assigned to the Vice Chancellor for Administration. The Campus Planning Office is responsible for coordinating the development of many of the short- and long-range plans for the University of California, San Diego, including academic, fiscal, and facilities. The work of the Campus Planning Office is structured around two interrelated processes: 1) Analytical studies, including enrollment planning, institutional research, and support for academic planning and accreditation; and 2) Physical planning, including long-range environmental impact reviews.
