Robert Morris Webster (b. Oct. 19, 1892, Boston, Mass.-d. Feb. 28, 1972), Major General in the U.S. Air Force, was commissioned in the Air Service in 1918. During World War II, he was commanding general of the 1st Air Support Command and the 42nd Bombardment Wing. He was also commander of Allied forces in Sardinia, then deputy commander of the 12th Air Force until the end of the War. Later, he served as commanding general of Air Transport Command and of the First Air Force. He retired in October 1954.
