Served in the Spanish American War with Company B, U.S. Army 2nd Regiment, with 1st Maine Heavy Artillery at Fort Popham and Camp Powers, Me., and the 7th Army Corps, under Gen. Fitzhugh Lee, which was later deployed to Cuba.
