Fainlight, Ruth
Variant namesRuth Fainlight was born in New York in 1931. She moved to Britain at the age of 15 and studied at the Brighton and Birmingham Colleges of Arts and Crafts. Her first collection of poetry Cages was published in 1966.
She was married to the writer, Alan Sillitoe until his death in April 2010.
