McFarland, Thomas Stuart, 1810-1890.
McFarland served in the Texas Army, 1832-1837, and represented Jasper and Jefferson counties in the Senate of the Sixth Congress of the Republic. He was the surveyor who laid out the towns of San Augustine, Belgrade, and Pendleton, Texas, and also operated a plantation.
