US Army Military History Institute
Variant namesThe United States (U.S.) Army Military History Research Collection (MHRC) was begun at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania, in 1967. Its mission was the "collection, preservation and utilization of materials relating to the history and traditions of the U.S. Army." The organization's name was changed to the U.S. Army Military History Institute (MHI) in 1977. In 2002, it became part of the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center (AHEC).
