Joseph Levine was born 20 Jul 1907 in Malodezna, Russia. He fled to the United States with his mother after the 1917 revolution. He worked with the US Army and the UNRRA in Schwandorf, Bavaria, after World War II and served as the Regional Director of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee from 1945 to 1946 in northern Bavarian. Levine presently resides in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
