Neel, Samuel Reece, 1840-1906.
Samuel Reece Neel was a member of the Davidson College class of 1863. He left college to join the Confederate Army. He served in Company C, 1st Regiment N.C. Infantry and Company F, 49th Regiment N.C. Troops After the Civil War he taught in Croft, N.C., and was a merchant in Davidson, N.C.
