Bixler, William A. (William Allen), 1876-1961.
Artist and poet. William A. Bixler became famous for his painting, "Ol' Swimming Hole," after James Whitcomb Riley's famous poem of the same title. Bixler copied the picture by hand 5,000 times between 1912 and 1918.
