Eagan, Julia Goode, 1888-1963
Julia Goode Eagan (1888-1963) of Salisbury, N.C., was a writer and editor. Eagan was born in Atlanta, Ga., and married Henry E. Eagan of Salisbury in 1912. She studied at Columbia University, was social editor of the Salisbury Post, 1915-1920; wrote feature articles for the Charlotte Observer and Atlanta Journal; worked for many years as a civil servant; and was the joint author of The Prophet of Zion-Parnassus with James F. Hurly.
