Majorana was an Italian physicist specializing in atomic spectroscopy. He developed the preliminary theories to Heisenberg's theory, performed theoretical work on neutrino masses, and experimental research on gravitational waves. The collector of these items, Recami, is also an Italian physicist (atomic physics, elementary particles), and was Professor of theoretical physics, Università di Napoli, from 1937 to 1938.
