Abbott, John A., 1839-1923.
John A. Abbott (1839-1923) was born in Dearborn County, Ind. He served in the Civil War as a member of the Thirteenth Indiana Infantry Regiment, Company I. He was discharged in June 1864 and re-enlisted in the First United States Veteran Volunteers. After the war Abbott became a lawyers and later a circuit judge. He married Laura Williams in 1868 and the union bore five children.
