Masterton family.
Alexander Masterton, Sr. (1797-1859) started as a stone-cutter and became a major architect-builder with his own marble quarries in Eastchester. He and his family resided in Bronxville, N.Y. His son was Alexander Masterton, Jr. (1825-1899).
