Locust Street Mission Association (Philadelphia, Pa.)
Quaker organization begun in 1863 to build and manage the school building that housed the Joseph Sturge Mission School and the Swarthmore Mission First Day School. [Friends' review ; v. 18, no. 43, 1865] Known as: Swarthmore Mission Association (until 10th Mo. 21st 1863); then as: Locust Street Mission Association (11th mo. 19th 1863-1945).
