American Sons of Irish Freedom Inc.
The purpose of the corporation, designated as perpetual, was to provide a better understanding of the Irish situation and Irish topics, its main objective was to assist in the independence of Ireland and support for individuals of Irish descent in that aim, the most notable of whom was Eamon de Valera. James H.B. Donaldson, father of Dorthea Donaldson, was one of the incorporators. The initial H in the corporate seal stands for the family name Harnett, and the initial B stands for the family name Blennerhassett -- Deed of Gift.
