Messiah Lutheran Church (Spokane, Wash.)
Messiah Lutheran was organized in 1951 with 81 charter members. The first building program was started in 1951 following the purchase of property at the corner of Belt and Longfellow. In the spring of 1952 a parsonage was built, and in 1953 ground was broken for the Sunday School Unit. In 1960 the church was constructed. During the building phases, church services were held at Field School and Shadle Park High School.
