Crockett, Ethelyne Jones, 1914-1978.
Born in St. Joseph, Mich., Ethelyne Jones Crockett practiced medicine in Detroit from 1952 until 1978 and was the first African-American obstetrician-gynecologist in Michigan. She married George W. Crockett, Jr., Detroit Recorders' Court judge; both were civil rights activists and community leaders.
