McClain, William A. (William Andrew), 1913-

Attorney William A. McClain was Cincinnati's city solicitor from 1963 to 1972, the first African-American to hold such a high municipal legal office. He served as Hamilton County Common Pleas Court judge from 1975 to 1976 and as Municipal Court judge from 1976 to 1980. He was active in the Wittenberg University Alumni Association, Sigma Pi Phi and the Masons.
