Cecil Monthly Meeting of Friends (Hicksite : Lynch, Md. : 1827-1899). Women's Meeting.
Cecil Monthly Meeting was established in 1698 out of Third Haven Monthly Meeting. The Orthodox meeting was discontinued in 1928. Cecil Monthly Meeting (Hicksite) became inactive around 1899. In 1941, a "revived meeting" named Cecil Monthly Meeting was est. to care for the property & transfer the title to Third Haven Monthly Meeting; this body met primarily in Swarthmore, Pa., & ceased activity in 1952 after its objectives were attained.
