Brevoort, James Renwick, 1832-1918.
The American landscape painter James Renwick Brevoort exhibited regularly from 1856. He became a member of the National Academy in 1863, where he taught Scientific perspective in 1872-73. From then on he traveled to Europe, where he painted views from various countries.
