J. C. Morrill Company
Biography
In 1859, encouraged by John Bidwell's partner, George Wood, J. C. Morrill set up a sawmill in Chico, California, and began shipping finished lumber to Sacramento. George Wood acted as business agent for the company, while J.C. Morrill managed the mill.
