Procopio, Vincenzo, 1873-1943.

Vincenzo Procopio (1873-1943) was born in San Vito Sull Ionio, Calabria, trained as a lawyer at the University of Rome, and came to New York City in the late 1890s. He worked as a lawyer, banker, and steamship agent and then moved to West Virginia where he was a co-editor of La Sentinella. He served the Order Sons of Italy in America as First Grand Venerable of West Virginia (1923-1929), and as an OSIA Supreme Trustee (1935-1939).
