Roepke, John

John Peter Roepke, of Jersey City, New Jersey, graduated in 1928 with a degree in education. He went to Dickerson High School and was a star of the football, baseball, and basketball teams, being named the all New Jersey halfback in 1922. Roepke was the left halfback of the Penn State football team, and became its captain in 1927. Roepke was a forward on the Penn State basketball team and a pitcher (hurler) for the Penn State baseball team. He was also a member of the sophomore society, Friars, the honor society Parmi Nous, and the Delta Psi fraternity.
