Dawson family.
Francis Warrington Dawson (1840-1889) was a journalist and editor of the Charleston News and Courier. His son, Francis Warrington Dawson II (1878-1962), was also a newsman, novelist, editor, and a special assistant to the American Embassy in Paris, as well as director of French research for Colonial Williamsburg.
