J. Milton Yinger (b. 1916) was Professor of Sociology and Anthropology at Oberlin College from 1947 to 1987. He was educated at DePauw University, Louisiana State University, and at the University of Wisconsin. An accomplished scholar, he applied an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the sociology of religion, race relations, and educational sociology.
