Sargent, Samuel Stephen, 1892-1957.
Samuel Sargent was a family historian and genealogist. He did research into the histories of Hutton Township, Coles County, Illinois, as well as other areas.
He operated a farm from 1942 to 1947. His intention was to compile a book about all the early residents of the area and their families, but he died before its completion.
