Benedict, Anne Scales, 1883-1958
Anne Scales Benedict was a 1905 Vanderbilt University graduate and a social, civic, and religious leader. She fought for better housing and educational opportunities for women students, organized the Vanderbilt Alumnae Council, and urged the appointment of women to the University faculty and administration.
