Locke, L. Leland (Leslie Leland), 1875-
Variant namesLeslie Leland Locke (1875-1943) was a professor of the history of mathematics at Brooklyn College, and a noted authority on the history of mathematical instruments, particularly the Peruvian quipu. In 1939, Locke donated his personal collection of early calculating machines to the United States National Museum (Smithsonian Institution). He was also a graduate of Grove City College.
