The County Court Association was established on 26 April 1895 as the Association of County Court Officials but became known as the County Court Association. It expanded to become the County Court (Clerks and Officers) Association in about 1912. The County Court (Clerks and Officers) Association became the County Court Officers' Association in May 1921, which became the Court Officers' Association on 1 January 1972. It was absorbed into the Civil and Public Services Association on 1 January 1974, where it was known as the Court Officers' Section.
