Cushman, Mary Anne Braswell.
Mary Anne Braswell was the daughter of Earl B. Braswell, former publisher of the Athens Banner Herald. After her graduation from the University of Georgia in 1943, she was appointed a staff member of the United States Embassy in London. She wrote accounts of her wartime London experiences for the Atlanta Journal. While working in London, she met Lieutenant Colonel Edwin Paul Cushman of Boston, and they were married in 1945.
